Since 2000, Free Grass Union has been sharing their blend of American roots music throughout the Northeast of the United States. Besides their reputation for strong live performance, the band has received recognition for their introspective songwriting on their prior releases of CIRCLES (2008) and FULL MOON TALKING (2014). Both albums gained considerable reviews and were featured multiple times in RELIX magazine. In 2021 Free Grass Union released their latest album Postcards from the Corner of the Room with Kim Humphrey (guitar/vocals) Greg Butler (mandolin/vocals) and Mitch Erdman (bass) along with Jacob Pelletier on drums. A slight departure from their former acoustic sound, Postcards from the Corner of the Room showcases a twangier and more focused band leaning harder into the country realm while retaining the band unique cosmic stew of all things Americana.
